Corporate taxes are an interesting bird. Company income that is subject to state and IRS taxes are often determined just like the taxable income of Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer. In the broadest kind of general, the tax is imposed on net profits.
Now, you have read a ton on the current U.S. corporate tax system. It is a major component of discussion in every Republican debate and President Obama has been very outspoken about a system that needs a major overhaul.
Loopholes, subsidies, and very legal tax avoidance strategies certainly help corporations. We live in a capitalistic society so there is no surprise here. But these kinds of taxes are very complicated and can often take three or four times the effort and time to do, versus the personal taxes we all must send by April 17.
We handle these types of returns and can help your organization get through the myriad of paperwork that has to be completed and processed.
We are in the busiest of seasons for returns of every category, but we want to help you, your family, your small business or your corporation file taxes accurately and on time! Remember March 15th is fast approaching.
We at AABS can help! It is what we do!
Call us and we will help you!

Bookkeeping

All kidding aside, we are heading heavy into this election year with light pockets. With gas at $3.70, sorry, $3.72, oops, $3.74; well you get the idea. Very seldom are we peeling off four twenties to fill the Prius. In fact, at the grocery store, cash is an endangered species as well; remember that the economic instability has been around since four buck gas in the summer of 2008.
Soon we will find banknotes and coins where they have always been found in smaller numbers; couches chairs, and coat pockets. On TV, the only ones with cash rob banks, and in real life we are not that far behind that drama.
We are so online. We are so device driven. With ATM’s next to every RedBox, when we need cash we get cash. We pay insurance, electric bills, medical bills, cable, phone, the IRS and credit cards online. In fact, it is our guess that transactions will grow online and even more so on smart devices like the Kindle Fire and the iPad. Why? Because we carry them everywhere we go.
Pretty soon, the dry cleaners, the kid that cuts your lawn and the offertory basket will all be PayPal.
The next time that a stranger walks up to you as you stroll around Downtown Raleigh and says, “Hey buddy, I am kinda down and out; got any debit left?”
Do not be surprised!
Remember as an accounting and bookkeeping business we take money very seriously! No joke!

Bookkeeping
AABS, AABS Inc., AABS. Apex, accounting, Apex, Bookkeeping, Business managment, Estate Planning, Fuquay, Holly Springs, IRS, Senior care, Taxes, Time management, Triangle
It is so common this time of year. We often hear; ”Why does my business need accounting?” And we have to smile. For us, a business needs accounting like a town needs a police officer. It makes sense to keep things orderly and it is critical to have certain guidelines that keep the business safe from problems.
When a new business is launched, regardless of micro, small, or large, the focus always is on the products and services. Of course, the passion for success is critical as well. And we have to mention one of the most important reasons to own a business, the freedom of both lifestyle and work hours.
We all need to be accountable in life for a number of things, and as they say, accountability creates responsibility. Funny thing is that we need both for success. Bookkeeping and accounting keep businesses organized through proper record keeping.
Problems like fraud, financial errors, and tax issues are minimized with accounting processes. Businesses that are “tight” with finances also make great decisions in regards to purchases. When bookkeeping is in place there is time to put thought into the critical transactions that at one time were hurried and possibly mismanaged.
Good records and reports create honest and focused business transactions. And these transactions are centrally coordinated daily, weekly, and monthly for internal consumption as well as for a variety of outside parties such as customers and suppliers.
It does make “cents” to do it right.

Bookkeeping
AABS, AABS Inc., AABS. Apex, accounting, Apex, Bookkeeping, Budgeting, Elder Care, Estate Planning, Facebook, Fuquay, Holly Springs, IRS, NC, Senior care, Taxes, Time management, Triangle, Trusts

Did you know that taxes are really an acronym? T.A.X.E.S. There we said it. This is indeed the time of year when taxes take a priority in everything we do. Of course, without taxes, there would be no services like fire and police and we all know that having first responders on duty seven days a week is not a bad thing.
So, after mentioning our brave first responders, there is still the problem of taxes. What to do? What to do?
Like we said, let’s look at taxes the acronym.
- T: Tough! It is indeed tough to look at and organize those of papers and receipts that are sitting in piles, envelopes and boxes.
- A: Arithmetic! Do you know what one of the biggest reasons the IRS pays attention to your returns? You guessed it. Math errors always draw official attention.
- X: Extra! Like you need anything eXtra to do this time of year. Cub Scouts, ballet, tap, baseball, PTA, Church; oh yes, forgot about the job did you! How do you fit anything else into your 86,400 (24 hours) second daily routine?
- E: Energy! Are you worn out yet reading this? There are a lot of places to put your enery to use at, and it is not tax preparation.
- S: Savings! An experienced bookkeeper will catch mistakes and place all of your deductions I the right places that saves both time and effort.
See we told you TAXES means more than taxes. At AABS Inc., it means service and timely results for every one of our customers. Remember that STRESS is an acronym too! Call us today to get your appointment day and time. We want to take the term “taxing” out of your taxes!

Micro and small business is very busy right now. It is a new year and all the things you learned in business lessons in 2012, are slowing integrated into first quarter processes. Each year of business gets a little smoother, note we did not say easier, and this year is no different.
The big challenge that costs you a good deal of time each and every year is the tracking of the business financials. This aspect of the business is very time consumptive. Assets, liabilities, and equity all have to be categorized daily and they are major variables within any organization.
Depending of the company location; city, local, state and federal all create the necessity to complete up-to-date records for accurate and in depth tax preparation. Accuracy is essential.
When you think about it, how can you grow your business, record every aspect of business, and manage cash flow when you want to grow the business. There are only 24 hours in a day.
AABS Inc, wants to know your business while you grow your business. We can be the bookkeeping business that truly makes it our business to know your business! We can:
- Organize all your financials.
- Track sales.
- Create invoices.
- Assess where costs can be better managed.
- Get you ready by tax day.
- Secure and manage all your information.
- Keep the financial business records.
- Manage purchases, income, receipts, and payments.
Trust us with your business so you can do the things you need to do!

Sometimes small business just has to put things in order. You are doing so many things as an owner, filer, doer, marketer, advertiser, and worker. Your job is 24-7-365 forever; not like that 9-5 guy who lives next store and has that long, long commute to Durham or Raleigh every day. There is a good probability that your commute includes a walk down the stairs and your dress code might include slippers. But you are a seven day a week worker/owner. It is not just Monday through Friday for you.
Micro and small businesses have to do the same thing as IBM or Wake Med. They need to keep everything in order. Here are some fun things to integrate into your desk drawer accounting process. There are indeed things you can do before you bring your mother load to us to get ready for the state of North Carolina and the IRS.
O: The obvious is you must get a box and put everything business related in it. Bills, invoices, restaurant receipts are a start. It is the basis for organization.
R: You need to be in readiness mode at all times. Having a handle on what you are as a business is a very good thing. If the IRS drops a friendly note, we (You and AABS) need to be on alert.
D: It does take discipline to be a successful business. You do not do what you do without focus and purpose.
E: Simply taking 5-10 minutes a day to put paperwork and e-paperwork together will save a lot of time and energy as tax time approaches.
R: Regularity is essential. Do not fall behind. But if you do, we are just a call away!
We like ORDER! And we enjoy having fun with it!
AABS, Inc. is local, loyal, and there for you, your family and your business. We are indeed a different kind of bookkeeping and accounting service. Call us today!

AABS. Apex, accounting, Bookkeeping, Business managment, Christmas, christmas trees, Elder Care, Estate Planning, Facebook, Hanukkah, Holiday Season, joy, lights, love, NC, peace, Senior care, Taxes, Triangle, Trusts, Twitter
Tis the Season we all enjoy for so many wonderful reasons! With the history of Christmas well over 4000 years old, and the history of Hanukkah over 2000 years old, we are deeply involved in the celebration of these ancient yet joyous seasons. Hanukkah starts tonight with the beginning of Festival of Lights and the beautiful Menorah shining in windows and on table tops around the world. These eight nights and days are so rich in traditional custom and beliefs.
It is Christmas week as well. Let’s take a minute to focus on the Assembly, Building, and Creation (The A, B, C’s) of this, the 2011 Holiday Season. The assembly of bikes, toys, wagons and more fill the late evenings and are tucked away for Santa Claus to deliver on Christmas Eve. The building of a plain and empty fir tree to the most gorgeous one in the neighborhood is always a family event. The placement of one meaningful ornament at a time under the star or angel at the very top, becomes the center piece for both home and family; and the creation of the bright and colorful lights decorating the interior and exteriors of our homes round the world sparkle in message as we go travel the holiday-laden streets with constant reminder of this uniqueness of the season.
But the ABC’s of the 2011 Holidays mean more than that to all of us. The assembly of family as we gather together as one to celebrate what the Season is truly about. The building of continued tradition and memories as we remember these as the “good old days” and the increased focus of what is truly important; the creation of the warmest of gathering places filled with wonderful food and the joy and love of family. The simple ABC’s will always continue to ring in the New Year as long as there is an earth and people upon it.
The A, B, C’s are very special.
Blessed is the season
Which engages the whole world
In a conspiracy of love!
Hamilton Wright Mabie
From our AABS, INC. Family (http://www.aabsinc.com/) to yours, we wish all of you; our family, friends, and special clients the most wonderful and joyous of seasons! We look forward to 2012 with all of you, and we wish you a prosperous and healthy New Year!
